A native New Yorker and graduate of Hofstra University, Sandra's destiny seems to be a multi-faceted and eclectic career in writing, teaching and the performing arts. She has danced on stage and modeled skiwear with Oprah, acted in the music video, "Beast of Burden" with Bette Midler and Mick Jagger, served as a juror on "All my Children" and served many cups of stale coffee as a waitress on, "Edge of Night." She has choreographed for theatre, film and television and served on the roster of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) as Teaching Artist in Residence. For twelve years, she taught drama for the Arts Connection Team in Winston Salem, North Carolina--her current home. A highlight is visiting her daughter, now a singer/songwriter living in Nashville. Along with writing, family and two beloved dogs, Bear and Darla, Sandra's main interests and commitments are to environmental, human and animal rights causes. She is a member of Winston Salem Writers.

The Bluffs of Baraboo" is a work of Young Adult Fiction and is a first novel.

"My room, my private observatory, is comforting. On my door there's a sign: Davie's Crypt. My buddy Carl's idea. He says it's always nighttime in here. He's right. It's perfectly opaque and silent. A kind of paradise...

Since morning is hours away, I can lie still and stare at nothing--just drink in the total blackness of my room. No demands here. No homework. No tests. No pretests or retests. The entire universe is off-limits as I bask in my personal inky black hole."
